Octis Technology Pte. Ltd. provides engineering consultancy services for the energy, construction and manufacturing sectors as well as independent design review and forensic engineering consultancy in fault, failure, fire and explosion, and accident investigations, and expert witness and litigation support services.

We have a broad range of technical knowledge, expertise and experience required for fire and explosion, fault and failure investigations.

Our mission is to provide our clients with fault and forensic analyses as well as investigations that are of the highest quality in the industry in our areas of practice.

The principal consultant, Er. Dr. Yoke-Lin TAN, is a certified energy professional, a registered and licenced professional engineer, failure analyst, forensic and fire investigator and a certified fire safety manager. He has a certificate in testing and inspection of metals, a certificate in corrosion, a certificate for lift and escalator engineer, a certificate in fire investigation and a certificate in fire risk assessment. He is also a certified machinery safety expert and he holds a certificate for functional safety engineer. He has been engaged or appointed by owners, power plant operators, power transmission company, manufacturers, lawyers, insurers and re-insurers, loss adjusters, consultants, contractors, etc. to carry out failure analysis of electrical and mechanical systems and components, and fire investigations as well as to assist to resolve technical issues and/or disputes since 1996. Dr Tan is also a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.

Er. Dr. Tan has been engaged as an expert witness on a number of cases involving fire and forensic investigation as well as failure analysis of components or unplanned shutdown of electrical, mechanical or process systems in Singapore and Malaysia.
